Since good pet insurances cover almost all injuries and illnesses it would be easier to list what they do not cover. For example, commonly used insurance policies do not cover for:
Routine care procedures such as vaccines, de-worming and anti-flea treatments (you might need to buy an add-on)
Pre-existing conditions the pet suffered prior to signing the insurance policy
Inhumane treatments like tail docking and ear cropping
Dental care
Pregnancy related care
Behavioral related issues
Breed specific conditions.
