The pulse control is used to quickly chop ingredients you do not want to purée. The pulse control can be found on the new Vitamix models (all models in the G series, Ascent and S series / C series: 5300/6300 / 6500 / PRO500).
The pulse switch control replaces the old pulse method of turning the high / low control switch and using the on / off level to pulse.
The big advantage of the new pulse control lever is that you can use the variable control knob to pulse at any desired speed. While, the old method is that you can only pulsate at 2 speeds (high and low).
My thoughts – The original pulse method works well and having the individual pulse function is nice to have but not a requirement. It should not be so important for your decision-making. For more information visit website #Vitamix 7500.
