Drone Mapping
Using drone images for mapping large surfaces. Take hundreds of photos of the location and then process them into workable files.
Large areas mapped
When performing drone mapping flights, larger areas on the ground are mapped with different orbits. It flies in several directions to ensure that sufficient data is collected from all sides. During the flight, hundreds of photos of the location are taken to be processed into workable CAD files, 2D and 3D digital terrain models (DTM), volume measurements, 3D point clouds, Orthomosaic or orthophotos. The photos are taken with very high accuracy by means of GPS/RTK positioning of the drone and possible support for land surveying on the ground.
Application
The files accurately reflect the 'As-is' situation and are then used in a 3D design process, progress reporting, construction planning or eg for GIS applications. Think of cadastral maps or urban development.
